What to Explore
Take the Old Victoria Driving Tour, featuring more than 80 historic homes and buildings – many listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Includes the 1892 Courthouse. Take a peek inside some of the homes at Victoria’s annual Historic Homes Tour held April 1-2, 2017.
The Museum of the Coastal Bend showcases the region’s rich multicultural heritage. “Where Texas History Began,” tells the story of early Coastal Bend pre-history and European colonization. Includes an expanded La Salle Odyssey exhibit. Learn to throw an ancient spear with an atlatl.
The Nave Museum - This art museum houses the collection of Royston Nave and features 5 or 6 rotating exhibits throughout the year. Don’t miss their gift shop! Lots of fun, artsy items and handmade jewelry.
Riverside Park spans 562 acres, and includes a rose garden, duck pond, and Riverside Golf Course. Go birding or take a stroll on the Athey Nature Trail.
Float down the Guadalupe River with kayak, paddle board, and tube rentals from Gerry’s Kayaks. While in the park, check out the animals at The Texas Zoo.

Victoria has more than 50 locally owned eateries, including bakeries and coffee shops. A few “Don’t Miss” spots are: Huvar’s Artisan Market offers fresh, unique food in downtown Victoria. Don’t miss Pizza Night on Friday and Saturdays! It’s the best in town. Open for lunch and dinner, The Pump
House Riverside Restaurant & Bar is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Dine on the patio and enjoy live music, or bring the kids – they’ll love the fried mac & cheese. The Sunday brunch is a must do! The atmosphere is as good as the food.
Fossati’s Delicatessen is the oldest deli in Texas and a part of the Old Victoria Driving Tour. Family owned for generations, you’ve gotta catch this one for lunch, Monday through Friday only. Have dinner and drinks along with 12-story views of Victoria at The Sendera! Their impressive tequila bar features more than 100 different varieties.
