In 1835, Irish settlers found what is now known as Beeville in Bee County named after General Bernard E. Bee. Located in the heart of the Coastal Bend, Beeville is the gateway to the South Texas Brasada, Spanish for Brush Country. Bee County appeals to a variety of visitors with cultural, natural, historical and recreational attractions.
