2013 Meetings
Dear TCBRTC Members and Friends,
I hope you will join us in Palacios for our monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 23, hosted by the Palacios Chamber of Commerce.
Our educational program, business meeting and lunch will be held at the Texas Baptist Encampment located at 100 First Street in Palacios (please click on http://www.texasbaptistencampment.org/location/ for a map).
Our program will be a presentation by Barney Gulley, one of the craftsman who built the half-scale replica of the LaSalle ship, LaBelle. This ship was commissioned on April 6.
In addition to the LaPetite LaBelle presentation, you will have the option to visit the ship and/or take an historic homes one-hour driving tour. A CD to accompany the driving tour is available at the City by the Sea Museum.
Refreshments and Lunch
For the early birds, Mary Johnston will provide her homemade coffee cake and coffee at the Encampment at 9:30. The educational program will begin at 10 am, followed by our business meeting. Lunch will include Parmesan Chicken, Wild Rice, Broccoli Medley, a 25-item salad bar, hot rolls and peach cobbler. Cost will be $10 per person.
Grunwald Printing Contract Renewal
Our business agenda will include an important item regarding continuing our contract with Grunwald Printing Company of Corpus Christi. The current contract expires in July of this year. Included in the discussion will be the fact that Lisa Dombroski is resigning from Grunwald Printing prior to the expiration of the contract. Lisa's husband is being transferred to the Houston area.
An agenda and the March minutes and financial reports will be sent to you in a days.
