Dear Coastal Bend Friends,

Plans for the 2012 Coastal Bend Travel Fair are in the works and Booth Registration is now available. Attached is the booth layout of the Aransas Pass Civic Center located at 700 W. Wheeler Avenue in Aransas Pass (www.aransaspassciviccenter.com). The Travel Fair will be located in the Redfish Room and will offer over 8,500 square feet for our event.

The parking lot in front of the building is paved throughout and provides parking for our visitors as well a large display area for the RVs (Recreational Vehicles) and Campers provided by local dealers. Vendor parking will be available in the rear of the building near the loading/unloading area.

What:   6^th Annual Coastal Bend Travel Fair (sponsored by the Texas Coastal Bend Regional Tourism Council)

When:   Wednesday, January 25, 2012

10 am to 4 pm

Where: Aransas Pass Civic Center, 700 W. Wheeler Avenue, Aransas Pass

Why:     To make our Winter Texan visitors aware of the various tourism attractions in the Coastal Bend Region.

The 2012 Coastal Bend Travel Fair will once again be open to the public with free admission. The Civic Center in-house concessionaire will be open in the Redfish Room all day long selling food and drinks to you and our visitors as well.

No ice chests/coolers or outside food or drink will be allowed inside the building at any time. There will be no need to leave the building for lunch; a variety of hot sandwiches including hamburgers will be available.

We will not have live entertainment (i.e., singing, dancing) but will have an emcee/DJ on stage throughout the day for announcements such as door prize winners and to provide continuous background music.

There is an optional $10 (per plug) electricity fee. The Civic Center offers the option for everyone, regardless of where your booth is located, to have access to an electrical outlet that drops from the ceiling. This $10 will be included in your booth fee if you want electricity and the entire $10 will then be paid to the Civic Center.

We do plan to offer door prizes again and ask that you each provide at least two door prizes (they do not have to be expensive items, possibly leftover event tee shirts, coffee mugs, etc.). These door prizes have been a big hit with our Winter Texan visitors and we very much appreciate your generous donations in the past.
