THREE RIVERS

Picnicking is scenic in Three Rivers
Three Rivers, on US 281 just off I-37, is
midway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi where the
Atascosa, Frio and Nueces rivers meet. As a result, Three Rivers
is "ground zero" for outdoor sporting enthusiasts.
Choke Canyon Reservoir is the venue for many fishing tournaments
throughout the year. Hunters appreciate the area for the white
tail deer, quail, white wing dove, wild turkey, javelina and
wild hog.
Three Rivers hosts Salsa Festival
Shoppers love the town square with its unique antique, gift and
collectible shops. Also on the square is the popular Rialto
Theater. Each April Three Rivers hosts a Salsa Festival. The
Choke Canyon Birding Festival is held in February each year.
Big Oaks on the Frio River
Three Rivers has four motels with more than one hundred rooms.
Tips Park, operated by the city, has travel trailer hookups
under giant live oak trees beside the Frio River. There are
numerous eating establishments in Three Rivers ranging from fast
food to buffet to table service. Visit
