Edna is the county seat in one of Texas’ original counties, Jackson County, which was named after President Andrew Jackson and is part of the Texas Independence Trail Region and Texas Settlement Region. It is in the center of the Gulf Coast side of a Houston-San Antonio-Corpus Christi triangle, and sits astride the highway connecting Houston and Corpus Christi, at the head of Lavaca and Carancahua Bays.

The popular Texana Museum is part of the La Salle’s Historic Odyssey. Look for historic murals throughout the City of Edna and enjoy the public parks and pool the city offers. Lake Texana State Park and Brackenridge Park and Campground provide a great spot to camp and enjoy the outdoors. The Brackenridge Recreation Complex also hosts many festival and events throughout the year, most of which are open to the public.

The Brackenridge Main Event Center hosts many festivals, rodeos and events throughout the year, most which are open to the public.
